Innovative Ways to Break a Sweat
It’s important that all people get a regular amount of exercise to promote overall health and wellness. But this doesn’t mean we need to do the same old boring running to break a sweat, there are a lot of exercises that promote both fitness and fun. For example, sports are a great way to break a sweat, but can be difficult to enjoy without a group of people.
For those people who don’t have friends to play sports with, dancing is another great way to break a sweat, and can be done in the comfort of the home, or out at a club. Dance workouts keep your heart pumping and can even build muscle. And unlike lifting weights or running on a treadmill, you can use the skills you learn dancing outside of the gym.
Dancing to Burn Calories
For hundreds of years people have danced for fun, enjoyment, or intimacy. Though dancing is often viewed as a social activity, it can also be utilized for exercise purposes. Dancing provides an intensive workout that, correctly focused, can target all of the major muscle groups and ensure that you break a sweat fast. Several dance workout videos juxtapose dance and fitness, creating a unique and enjoyable workout.
There is also a variety of dance music, the most popular of which is trance. You can dance to all kinds of music, but trance dance music will invoke the rapid movement and motion necessary to have a dance workout. In truth, most activities that involve rapid movement of your limbs can help you to build muscle and maintain good physical health.
Fun Workout DVDs Pt1
Who wants to do workout DVDs that are boring and make you hate exercise when there are so many fund workout DVDs available. When people actually look forward to working out they are more likely to stick with the workouts rather than being tired from doing something that they hate. Here are some examples of fun workout DVDs.
Hip Hop Abs is a fun and trendy dance workout that utilizes dance moves along with abdominal exercises to shed weight and have a good time. The DVDs come with a music track that could be found playing at the local club. Shaun T teaches dance moves that aim to flatten the abs and burn fat from the whole body. The moves are trendy dance moves, but are easy to catch onto since he explains them in depth and slowly for each exercise. You will find yourself adding your own flavor into the exercises and may not even notice the awesome workout that you are getting.
Looking to make your workouts a little more enticing?
A simple solution to getting yourself into some cardio without the dreary thought of running on a machine, or spinning on a bicycle that goes nowhere. Dance workouts are you answer. These are exercises that include hoping and jumping around, music, dance steps, and rhythm. The key to the success of dance workouts
is a combination of the diversity of it, and the ‘happy’ hormones your body secretes when you dance. There are a ton of classes out there that you can take which improve fitness, break down body fat, and are challenging and interesting. Dance workouts are not just for women either.
Guys, even though it might seem a little less manly to get your daily fitness via dancing around, it’s actually a lot of fun, not to mention, the classes are typically filled with women, rather than men, like at the gym. Dance workouts can be really tough, especially because they incorporate so much coordination into the workout. Pumping a weight up and down is simple. Try doing a rhythmical series of 4 or 5 steps, and you’ll notice the time fly by you as you sweat it out. Your mind will be so preoccupied focusing on what your doing that you’ll find yourself taking a break from the usual stresses that are always on your mind.
The Best Ab Workouts You Can Do at Home
At home workouts can become tired and repetitious, with some over-muscled fitness guru yelling impersonally at you to move faster, or harder. The Hip Hop Abs program hosted by Shaun T is perfect for those who don’t want to go to an aerobics class at a gym, but who are bored with the same old routines from other television and DVD personalities.
This is a four week program which comes complete with four different workouts including:
Secrets to Flat Abs – This workout targets the abs and obliques in an intensive 13 minute workout to some really great music.
Fat Burning Cardio – This is a 30 minute workout that promises to make you sweat as you dance your way to flatter abs while focusing on burning fat at the same time.
Ab Sculpt – A workout that boasts better abs without doing sit-ups or crunches is rare indeed. This workout promises more hip hop action while working on those abs in a fast paced 25 minute workout.
Total Body Burn – The longest of all the workouts, this cardio and body sculpting routine is a 45 minute workout blitz that will have your abs burning in no time.
In addition to the DVD’s, this program comes with additional tools to help you succeed. A nutrition guide, online support and a 30 day workout calendar are all designed with the Hip Hop Abs program in mind.
Shaun T recognizes that the home workout needs to be both fun and energized, and he delivers with a great ab workout that delivers what it promises.
Hip Hop Abs: Never Do A Sit Up
What you need to lose belly fat and get flat abs is cardiovascular exercise along with exercises that strengthen and tone the stomach muscles. Through a technique called tilt, tuck, and tighten, Shaun T provides that type of exercise in one easy workout called Hip Hop Abs.
The way that this technique works is that you are constantly engaging and contracting your abdominal muscles during your whole cardio workout. This not only provides you with a cardiovascular workout that burns fat from your entire body, but it also helps to strengthen and tone your midsection. It is an all-in-one comprehensive workout so that you can get flat abs in a quicker period of time. In Hip Hop Abs
, you will never see Shaun T do one crunch or sit up on the ground. Instead, he basically does his “sit ups” while standing and dancing.
Along with regular cardiovascular workouts and strengthening exercises for your stomach muscles, you also need to eat healthy to get flat abs. If you are putting junk in your body or consuming too many calories all of your workout efforts are useless. You will never be able to get the flat abs you want unless you start a healthy diet full of vegetables, fruits, lean protein, and healthy carbohydrates such as whole wheat products.
A six pack and flat abs are not unattainable by the average person. It will take some hard work but with the above steps, you will never have to worry about doing a sit up again and you look the best you ever did.
Hip Hop Abs: Stop Doing Sit Ups To Get Flat Abs
It is a common misconception that you have do hundreds and hundreds of sit ups and crunches to get flat abs. You don’t even have to do one sit up or crunch and you can still get flat abs and the stomach that you have been dreaming about. With the tilt, tuck, and tighten method that was developed by fitness expert Shaun T in his workout Hip Hop Abs
, you can flatten your abs and you never have to get on the floor.
Doing sit ups can be painful on your back and your neck. If you do not do them properly you can even injure your back and neck. It is not comfortable laying on the ground and crunching up and down as your back and neck get jolted all around.
Not only are sit ups and crunches uncomfortable and painful, they are also not very effective in getting six pack abs. What many people do not realize is that crunches will not get rid of the fat on your stomach. There is no way that you can spot train and pick and choose where the fat comes off your body. Sit ups may help to strengthen your abdominal muscles and give them definition but if there is still a layer of fat sitting on top of the stomach muscles, then you will never see your defined muscles. Instead all you will see is a belly paunch that never goes away.
Get Your Dance On!!
The infamous workout videos of the eighties were all about aerobic dance. Loud retro music in the background, and women pounding their spot on the floor. Side steps, clapping hands, leg raises… those days were fun! It does seem dance workout videos are making a comeback. Cardio-hip hop is one of the most popular styles; its energizing, fun, gets you sweating and the music is jumping! And, this stuff isn’t only for women. There is nothing feminine about getting your dance moves on. These could actually help a lot with guys rhythm, and improve their moves on the real dance floor! The unique thing about using dancing to be active is that it is generally so enjoyable that it hardly feels like a workout. There is a big difference between dancing and lifting weights or running on a treadmill. The latter two are so incredible repetitive and boring that its no wonder its tough to keep motivation up over a long period of time.
Getting your grove on, working on your moves, pumping those legs and arms, all a great way to get active, and actually enjoy it with the help of a dance workout videos
. Remember, any activity is better than none, and the risks associated with getting active are nil compared to the risk of not being active.
Dancing your way to a great body
I can’t help but talk about how great it feels to get my booty dancing at the end of each week. I love it and look forward to it when Monday rolls around. I’m and want to stay hot and sexy, and getting my thang moving each week seriously hits the spot. So this is what I’m going to do: since I only really go out at the end of each week, I decided to try something out to get me moving more often. I heard about this dvd called hip hop abs and I’ve bought it on-line. It is basically a dance fitness video called hip hop abs
. Yes, its like those old school aerobics video’s, I guess, except its hip hop and is directed at getting sweet abs. Dancing makes me feel awesome, and I want to get into better shape.
Also, I am really not a sports kind of person, and I never know what to do in the gym. I always feel awkward walking around in a gym, like I’m kind of lost. I once had a gym membership and I ended up never using it and had to cancel- I lack that kind of motivation. So here’s what I’m hoping to gain from Hip Hop Abs; better moves for when I actually am out dancing, a sweet body with actual abs and not just a tight tummy, and lastly, get myself into better shape, because I hate being so out of breath and disheveled when I’m out trying to look fabulous. I’m sure many ladies out there would concur. Today will be my first day, and there is a money back guarantee, so if it ends up sucking, its not like I had anything to lose.
